Workforce Solutions Borderplex seeks a contractor to conduct research, identify best practices, and formulate 2-3 recommended structures for a shared services network (i.e., marketplace) for childcare providers. Childcare providers, whether home-based or commercial centers, operate on very low profit margins. They focus on providing a high-quality learning environment for the students. However, the business side of the operations is often managed under very tight timelines, inefficiencies, and manual systems. WSB seeks to establish a centralized marketplace of common products and services utilized by this industry where providers can purchase at a pre-negotiated price and achieve economies of scale. This concept exists in other communities across the country in various forms, including paid membership programs.
