About Us WSB Success Stories

Addison Sommers

Addison came to WSB after her employer closed their doors and she was left without a job and three kids to feed. Working with a WSB Career Counselor, Addison was able to enroll in a technical program, qualify for a scholarship, and train for a new career. Within 18 months, she completed the program, found new employment and began earning a higher wage than she had previously received.

Grizel Lopez

Join us in exploring Grizel Lopez’s journey – a parent who, with our assistance through Careforce, successfully navigated the challenges of parenthood, school, and internship over the course of a year. Today, we’re thrilled to highlight Grizel’s success as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Her dedication has led to a rewarding role in the Maternal Fetal Department, showcasing what is achievable through commitment and hard work. Grizel’s experience stands as a testament to the positive impact of leveraging available resources. We hope to see her story serve as inspiration for other parents, just like you, to access our support and resources, charting their path toward their own success stories.

Congratulations to Grizel on her well-deserved achievements!

CareForce Provider Earns State Recognition

Meet Kinder Care - Vista Del Sol, a provider who is part of our CareForce family! Their unwavering dedication to providing top-notch care for our families and little ones is unparalleled. Not only do they excel in delivering quality care, but they also create a nurturing environment for their staff. That’s why we proudly nominated them as a 2023 TWC local Employer of Excellence.

At this year’s conference, each of the 28 Local Workforce Development Boards honored a Local Employer of Excellence. This prestigious award recognizes employers who truly make a difference in their communities by closely collaborating with Texas Workforce Solutions.

And the best part? Along with recognition they even had the honor of a special visit and recognition from two state representatives. Now, that’s what we call making a real impact!
